How does Gotoco's TEFL/TESOL work?

Gotoco offer our own TEFL/TESOL course in-house, along with Ofqual backed TEFL/TESOL qualifications and also a pathway to the Trinity CertTESOL

Gotoco's in-house and Ofqual backed TEFL/TESOL

Our Ofqual backed courses and in-house awards follow a similar format explained below, if it is Ofqual backed then it means that it adheres to government guidelines for audit, record keeping, IQA and EQA norms. If you complete this, then this means you receive an officially supported qualification upon successful completion.

Our TEFL/TESOL is usually awarded on the basis of upwards of 120 hours training and practice, which takes into account teaching and lesson planning, and the online elements of the course. Partner schools also give you basic TEFL orientation training prior to beginning your teaching. Our TEFL/TESOL will teach you TEFL’s core principles and enable you to get much more out of your programme.

There are nine units to the training course covering different aspects of teaching in the classroom, with tips for resources and activities. There are short questions to work through at the end of each chapter. At the end of the programmes, once you have completed the questions and hours in the classroom, you will need to complete the short exercises and send them in for review. Subject to satisfactory marking, we will then issue you with your TEFL/TESOL certificate.

Gotoco's inhouse TEFL/TESOL pathway is only available to students at universities that fund our programme. Our current university partners include Bristol, Cardiff, Warwick, Birmingham City University, Northumbria, Royal Holloway London, and UCL (see full list here).
