Will I be able to learn the local language?
Speaking the local language is not a requirement for any of our programmes but this may be something about living abroad you're interested in and is a valuable form of cultural exchange . Especially for those of you on longer term programs, it is definitely worth learning a few key phrases, numbers and directions to help you get by.
Those of you doing a Trinity CertTESOL will be required to complete 4 hours of tuition in an unknown language which is a great way to learn some of the local lingo while checking an important module and building your teaching skills.
If you want to get a head start on the language of your host country, there are great resources online such as the Duolingo App or online lesson platforms such as Italki or Preply.
