1.1 The principles underlying this data protection policy ensures - the policy complies with Data Protection legislation and follows good practice, protects the rights of staff and Gotoco’ers, and protects itself from the risks of a data breach.
We comply with Data Protection Law.
1.2 Personal data shall be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to individuals
1.3 Personal data shall be obtained for one or more specified, explicit and lawful purposes, and shall not be further processed in any manner incompatible with that purpose or those purposes
1.4 Personal data must be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed
1.5 Personal data shall be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date
1.6 Personal data shall be kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed
1.7 Personal data shall be processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.
1.8 We collect various types of informations about Gotoco’ers, such as:
- Personal contact details such as name, title, addresses, telephone numbers, and personal email addresses
- Information about any criminal convictions and offences as part of the recruitment process
- Date of birth
- Emergency contact information
- Information about your health, including any medical condition
- Other information requested from a specific school/camp we partner up with
1.9 We collect personal information about volunteers through the application and recruitment process, directly from candidates.
2.0 If a Gotoco’er fails to provide certain information when requested, we may be prevented from complying with our legal obligations (such as to ensure the health and safety of our workers and other Gotoco’ers) and we may not be able to process your application to get a placement with us or offer you certain placement opportunities.
2.1 We will only use your personal information when the law allows us to.
